Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Ambulance Driver to join our emergency medical services team. The Ambulance Driver will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from healthcare facilities while ensuring quick response times in emergency situations. The ideal candidate must have excellent driving skills, knowledge of emergency protocols, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safe & Efficient Transportation

Operate an ambulance in a safe and timely manner while following traffic laws and emergency driving procedures.
Transport patients to hospitals, clinics, or other medical facilities as required.
Assist in loading and unloading patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.

2. Emergency Response & Support

Respond promptly to emergency calls and follow dispatcher instructions.
Assist paramedics and emergency medical personnel in providing immediate patient care when needed.
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor while handling high-pressure situations.

3. Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance

Inspect and maintain the ambulance to ensure it is clean, stocked, and in good working condition.
Perform routine checks on fuel levels, engine performance, and medical equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, medical protocols, and company policies.

4. Documentation & Communication

Accurately log trip details, patient conditions, and any incidents during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, hospital staff, and emergency teams.
Provide reports on vehicle performance, maintenance needs, and any operational concerns.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License & Certification:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) or equivalent (preferred).
- Basic First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
