Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospital Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our healthcare team. The PCA will provide direct patient care, assist medical staff, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, be empathetic, and be able to work efficiently in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care & Assistance

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide mobility support, including helping patients move in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
Support patients with feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary needs are met.

2. Medical & Health Monitoring

Measure and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to nurses and doctors.
Assist in basic medical procedures, such as wound care and specimen collection.

3. Emotional & Social Support

Provide companionship and reassurance to patients during their stay.
Help reduce patient anxiety by offering emotional support and clear communication.
Assist in engaging patients in light physical or mental activities as recommended by healthcare professionals.

4. Hospital Environment & Safety

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and common areas.
Follow hospital infection control protocols and ensure a sanitary environment.
Assist in transporting patients within the hospital for tests, procedures, or discharges.

5. Documentation & Compliance

Accurately document patient care activities and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and patient confidentiality standards.
Ensure proper handling of medical supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or PCA training program is preferred.
Certification: CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).

Skills:
