Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The Medical Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests, analyzing samples, and assisting medical professionals in delivering accurate patient care. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in laboratory procedures, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Collect and analyze blood, urine, tissue, and other biological samples.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood work, microbiology tests, and chemical analysis.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
2. Patient Interaction & Sample Collection
- Assist in drawing blood and obtaining other specimens from patients.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of samples.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have.
3. Equipment Maintenance & Quality Control
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to maintain accuracy.
- Follow strict quality control measures to ensure reliable test results.
- Maintain a clean and sterile laboratory environment.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately record and report test results to physicians and medical staff.
- Maintain and update patient records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Follow safety and regulatory standards, including infection control and laboratory protocols.
5. Collaboration & Continuous Learning
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Stay updated with advancements in medical technology and laboratory techniques.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience: [Specify required experience, e.g., 1+ years in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting].
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing.
- Proficiency in handling medical instruments and laboratory equipment.
